STEIN
AASHEIM
Stein is a household
name in Scandinavia. His considerable number of adventurous achievements
make for some gripping reading, and cover a wide spectrum of extreme
outdoor activities.
Stein was a member of the Norwegian team who
in 1983 climbed one of the world's biggest walls on the Great Trango
Tower and in doing so created the first grade seven big wall. Since
then he has expanded his experiences with summitting Everest, and
building a media career, that includes regular mountain and wilderness
trips for television.
Not always one for stardom, he regularly gets
away on expeditions such as crossing Greenland by ski (in traditional
Nordic dress) and paddling grade 5 white water.
